Graphite India Limited (GIL) is a pioneer and one of the leading manufacturers of graphite electrodes in India, along with a comprehensive range of carbon and graphite specialty products. With decades of technical expertise and industry leadership, the Company has played a significant role in supporting the steel, metallurgy, and industrial sectors globally.

The Company operates six manufacturing facilities across India, each equipped with advanced production technologies, stringent quality systems, and sustainable operational practices. Strengthening its global presence, GIL also operates a wholly owned subsidiary in Nuremberg, Germany—Graphite COVA GmbH—which enhances technological capabilities and enables efficient service to international markets.

Established in 1967 in collaboration with Great Lakes Carbon Corporation (GLCC), USA, Graphite India Limited has evolved into a leading organization in the graphite and carbon industry.
